Financial Situation

We just completed the form 990 for Federal Non-Profits at the end of August, so we were able to compare our income and expenses for the last year (2008) with the previous two years. We were very happy to see that contributions only declined by 5% due to a few very fine donors who saw our immediate needs.

Sales, however, went from $58,347K in 2006 to $49,925 in 2007 and did a complete dive to $26,581 in 2008, and show no future signs of recovering. This is/was nearly 50% of our previous source of income. This is not so much due to the economy as it was the sudden introduction of almost everything formerly CD, DVD, and book format to electronic digital format. It is the same reason the newspapers, record companies and magazines are quickly disappearing in retail sales. The world  is changing rapidly!  Since this is the worst time of the year financially, we would like to present you, our supporters, with our needs for the next three months.

Must have:

An additional $500 per month on a permanent basis just to pay the bills. We have streamlined  our operations as tight as they can go. Our regular monthly donors have dropped off to the tune of about $500 per month in the last 6 months. Optional

While it is “optional” not to set aside any money for retirement in the moment, we were unable to put aside the typical $7000 to $9000 per year to keep me alive a few years from now. $0 contributions have been made for retirement since 2007. My W2 income was $26,750.

All in all, we are moving ahead and God has blessed our work, but I just wanted to let my few supporters know of our immediate needs. Thank you for believing in our work!
