We are a global online network with independence from government, corporate, national and organised religious interests. Our vision is of a world in which every person - regardless of race, religion, gender, sexuality or ethnicity - enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards, specifically with regard to freedom of religion. We invite you to join our online community - to take action and to stop high control groups from ruining lives. To that end we are relaunching www.freeminds.org as a portal. This means new fresh content every day from the Jehovah's Witness and cult awareness community. We welcome the input of all for publication. The people now working with us are volunteers, with a common goal in mind, and that is to create a heterogeneous "congregation." That being an online community comprised of former cult members and current Jehovah's Witnesses covering the full spectrum of religiosity and spirituality. This is a cooperative effort of equals and any departure will not be viewed personally. It will feature all things important to helping the Witness exit the Watchtower Society as painlessly as possible, if that is their wish, and to provide them with a supermarket of future options. There is somewhere else to go! It is a loose-knit cooperative, begun initially through a small circle of friends. Friendship alone binds us all together.   written by James Kostelniuk , June 15, 2009 I am an ex-JW and the author of Wolves Among Sheep: The True Story of Murder in a Jehovah's Witness Community. Have you heard of it? I published this book in Canada in the year 2000 with HarperCollins Ltd, Toronto. It sold 7000 copies, a best-seller here, mostly in the Canadian book store market. Now, HarperCollins has given all rights back to me. I am currently undergoing a revision of the book and will publish it myself with a "publisher on demand" here in Winnipeg, Manitoba called "Word Alive Press." Word Alive is a Christian press that focuses mostly in the Christian bookstore market throughout North America. Their instant printer and distributor is located in Tennessee. The book should be up in Amazon.com as well and the quality paperback should retail for about $18 US.  written by Joseph Lee,Jr. , October 23, 2009 Hey there,I'm a new Author for a new book entitled "Growing Up A Witness".This book is about a young man's trapped feelings growing up as a Jehovah Witness child and how the Religion his Mom selected affected their relationship for over 30 years.This book represents his life struggles and how he endured growing up up in a violent and abusive home.My hope is that this book can help persons that may be experiencing some of the pain and emotional abuse he endured as a child, a young man and finally an adult and break the cycle of abuse.The book website is www.growingupawitness.com for more information!!! report abuse
