For the agents of the Watch Tower Corporation to have any influence over us, we would have had to accept the terms of the contract they offered to us and publicly agree to work for them and be subject to their rules by submitting to the ritual of baptism.

They courted us. We were bargained with and offered a product. We accepted the offer and entered into a contract with a Corporation. The Corporation omitted certain material facts, made false promises, and failed to deliver on it’s own promises. It made a substantial and willful misrepresentation by failing to disclose certain material facts to us before we entered into a contract with them. That is the definition of fraud and if the Jehovah’s Witnesses had sold us a car or a house under those conditions and circumstances, they would be dealt with under consumer protection federal and state laws and would be facing criminal prosecution. We would have grounds for civil action to seek compensation.

When we discover what was done to us and give one of several carefully monitored signals, the agents of the Corporation are immediately set into action. Their task is damage control and they need to quickly try us and label us in an attempt to silence us. If they are not able to silence us, they must isolate us from the other members so our stories will never be heard or taken seriously by the conforming members.

Only because they are in the business of selling literature and delusions of a religious nature are they allowed to use these kinds of unethical tactics. It is a crime against humanity to require us to defend ourselves against the elements of misrepresentation used on us. We are the victims of willful deception and breach of contract. Now we are being required to defend ourselves without any tools, representation, or support whatsoever. Our submitting to a meeting with the Corporation’s agents only serves to dignify the Corporation and only allows this sham and fraud to continue. The meeting will dignify, legitimatize, and justify the ostracism and harassment to follow.

The real issue remains unchallenged and the real abusers remain safe and removed and seem sanitized by it all. The real issue is not, Will the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses speak to me? The real issue is not, Will the elders or the circuit servant speak to me? The real issue is not, Can I visit the home of the elders? The Governing Body, the elders (agents) and the Corporation really can not hurt me. They make these questions the real issues, but they are not.  The real issue is this.  Will my family members and friends speak to me and treat me with kindness and love? Or will they shun (harass) me?

The real enforcers of the Corporation rules for harassment are my family and friends. The real defenders of the elements of misrepresentation are my family and friends. If they choose to be Corporation agents first and foremost, and harass me for being honest with myself, then they have shown their net human worth to me. Will they fall apart like a two dollar suitcase in the rain and reject me? Or will they refuse to reject me? The meeting should be with my family and friends. If, when confronted with my evidence, my family and friends reject me, that’s it. Time to move on. If my family and friends embrace me and refuse to harass me, then it’s still time to move on, only with them.

I did meet with elders and a circuit servant on my invitation. I kept inviting them to answer my questions and they never returned. So I invited them from the front page of our state’s largest daily newspaper and by registered mail and they still didn’t have the guts to meet with me. My relatives chose to harass me and they are out of my life and will stay that way until they negotiate with me to change their status.

Summary: A business Corporation using unethical business practices, fraud, deceit, misrepresentations, and hides behind the protection of religious laws while harassing and abusing people is not respectable and does not merit respect. Meeting with the agents of the Corporation according to their own guidelines defers to them and grants then respect for doing an unrespectable thing.

I wonder what would happen if someone who want's to leave just said" I never answered Yes to any of the baptism questions." Would they still be considered one of JWs?
