| Remember, If It's Critical About THE TRUTH, It Must Be From Satan |

 Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW) are taught to NEVER listen to a word, or read an article by those who have left their former faith. ANY critical information is viewed as poisonous to your faith. It will KILL your faith. In fact, the Governing Body (GB) is so convinced that what former JW’s have to say should not be read that even reading certain books and visiting certain sites could put you in a position to be disfellowshipped as a JW.
Ever wonder what they are so worried about? Remember, it’s the GB in the first place who have all JW’s knock on doors, raising doubts about every other religion, presenting every other religion in the most unflattering light possible. It is very disingenuous to train their flocks to be so negative to other religions, and yet, to work so hard to shut out any and all critical or unflattering information about their faith. They scare their members to get them to reject ALL critical information before they even read it. It goes something like this… What is it about facing the truth about our beliefs that scares us so much? When I went to Cameroon as a missionary, a fellow missionary had all 3 Matrix movies. As they weren’t rated in Cameroon, they also weren’t rated “R”, and thus viewable. (This is a little secret I was somewhat surprised to learn in my half year as a missionary, though not the point of this blog… But certain foreign missionaries watch movies that are rated R in the United States. But I digress…..) After I was attacked and recuperating, I got to watch all 3 Matrix movies. A critical scene caught my eye, and maybe will mean something to you as well. In the first “Matrix” movie starring Keanu Reeves, one of the most critical scenes is when Morpheus offers him a choice, symbolized by two pills. The BLUE pill represents being content where you are. Not knowing the real truth about your day to day life. The RED pill represents pulling behind the curtain to see what is controlling everything…. What the REAL truth is… (Don’t worry, this isn’t a conspiracy theory, I promise) Morpheus, just before Neo took the Red pill said. “Remember, all I’m offering is the truth. Nothing more.” It’s a striking contrast to the truth that Jehovah’s Witnesses claim to have. JW’s have literally trademarked the phrase “the truth”. It means and encompasses all the teachings and activities that they do…. Their version of truth includes living forever on a paradise earth. Accepting this truth is supposed to be a very happy thing. Contrast that Blue pill to the real truth, the Red pill. Remember, if you are a JW, the only thing you will get by reading further is the truth about the truth. I know, maybe you’ve heard it put that way before. In fact, this article is merely an invitation to examine what former JW’s are saying. Because we all know what the GB says about its critics…. “Yeah, their was a newscast on NBC/60 Minutes on pedophilia. They interviewed Barbara Anderson, a former researcher here. But you can’t believe that. The media is under Satan’s control. Anyone who gives critical information is from Satan. Remember, if its critical about the truth, it must be from Satan.“ That is the basic argument: “If its critical about (our) truth, it must be from Satan.” So as a JW, you are allowed to totally try to destroy another persons faith going door to door, using nothing but WT material. Yet, you are practically banned from reading anything critical about your own beliefs, offered in a similar manner? What is the GB so scared of you finding out? Why would reading these things guarantee that your faith will be destroyed? If it’s the truth you have, would it really destroy your faith? Is it so weak? This article is written merely as an invitation to you, the reader, not to take my word for anything. Look into the JW involvement in the UN. How they have protected pedophiles to avoid unwelcome publicity. Research how JW’s got to 1914, and learn for yourself how it is propped up by the outright lie they teach about the real date of Jerusalem’s destruction by Babylon. (607 BCE? Try 587...) Were you taught that “Barbara Anderson” and “Ray Franz” were new dirty words in the world of JW’s? Why be scared as to what insiders have to say? I went to the 119th class of Gilead in 2005. There are other bloggers here who have been insiders too. Why would those so high up choose to leave? Because we got our feelings hurt? Do you really think with so much on the line, including the worship of god, that we would allow so small a thing as a couple of disagreements with other JW’s to cause us to leave? Not a chance. It’s because there is the truth, and there is the truth about the truth. Learning about this won’t lead to happiness, but it’s a great first step. Your willingness to honestly examine your own beliefs and how the GB operates will ultimately tell more about you then anything. JW’s are not going to change. But you can, if you want, and if you are honest enough to look at the evidence. “Remember, all I’m offering is the truth, nothing more.”

 written by AllTimeJeff , August 05, 2009 Dear Joyfool Preaching from a JW point of view involves the purposeful implanting of doubt, trying to get a householder to ultimately reject their old faith in favor of converting to the JW point of view. I am unsure of course as to why you would be disappointed with JW's. To be fair, there are many reasons that many have. But again, this blog was merely an invitation for you and anyone to be honest with themselves as they look in the mirror. The purposeful demonization of former JW's is a tactic designed to hide some very messy problems and lies that JW's have. Most JW's are either unaware of them, or choose to believe that every single person to ever leave are evil and liars, which is the last thing from true. (not that you are allowed to find this out for yourself, you have to take their word for it.) Personally, preaching as a JW involves the idea that people will be destroyed for turning down colorful literature that could be offered by people as competent as young children. Is god really going to destroy non JW's for turning down literature offered by a child, and think that somehow represents a "witness"? I doubt it. Don't be afraid to think for yourself. I offer no answers, but the questions about JW's are real, and deserve exploration. report abuse

Don't stop writing and telling us more, I appreciate it. We can make up our own mind and not be told what to do as we have been for many, many years. report abuse
