I will never forget the view from my room at 107 Columbia Heights, just across the East River from Manhattan. During the day I could see daredevils trying to climb the towers. To all the brave souls who gave their lives that day.

![]() written by Keith Casarona , September 11, 2009 It was 8 years ago this week I left the JW THOUGHT system. One of the reasons I left was the phone call I got that morning from one of my JW friends telling me to turn on my TV set and see "The beginning of the End!" When I saw the people running for their lives in panic and terror and my JW friend being so happy for it was now time for his (and their) deliverance. Yes they couldn't wait for God to do the same thing to billions, what I was seeing happening to a few thousands. report abuse

When I needed to make a left turn of the BQE to avoid going over the blue bridge and make Tillery to Jay street a portly little traffic officer backed up three lanes of traffic for me. Never happen in Oregon! I felt like a queen and he even told me to have a nice visit, even though he was suffering so much pain. That is what I saw in everyone's eyes, pain, pain, and more pain. One poor man in the city lost six sons who were all either firefighters or police officers. 911 changed NYC forever. I was fortunate to never see any JWS rejoicing in the 911 disaster. All I ever saw was the extending of love and comfort. I am sorry that you saw a JW being a jerk at the expense of others pain. report abuse
