Incident (1979-1980)
Several unrelated discoveries of the faulty 607BC-1914AD chronology that forms the very foundation of much Watchtower teaching concerning their own authority were squelched by the Governing Body in the late '70's. When all the information came to the attention of many Bethel family members in 1979-1980, and some talked to others about it, a major witch-hunt began in order to silence those who talked of the cover-up.
